Caspar Van Wittel, went to Italy in 1675, he liked the environment and the opportunities, and never went away.

But he did not concentrate his artistic work on Rome alone, he traveled quite a bit, and especially took advantage of the beauties (and the clients ...) living in the outskirts of Rome, that back then were really magic places.
