Caspar Van Wittel's drawings

Work, Capricci and fantasy

Besides all his paintings, Caspar Van Wittel made quite a bit of drawings in his career, most of the time a nice rendering of a situation, aside from the 'professional work' he was doing as a painter.

And some capricci too, invented situations, always in the reproduction of ambiances, situations, places.
Not work but a progression of it.

He also made quite a bit of 'panoramic' drawings, but they will be presented in a different section, as a few Van Wittel scholars connect to these images the possibility of using the Camera Obscura.
